The Contingent representing Oyo State has left Ibadan, the state capital to participate in Davnoch, Vemp and CBN Senior National Championship at the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
In a statement issued by the Secretary of the State Tennis Association, Alhaji Raji Fatai Adebayo, and signed by Head Media and Publicity of the Association, Mr. Olusola Alabi, the 3 weeks competition which kicked-off today, 4th of May will climax on 28th of May, 2023.
Alhaji Adebayo said the event will be an avenue for the state representatives to showcase their abilities and win for the state.
The State’s representatives consist of 4 males; Isiaka Toriola, Michael Akinmusire, Abiodun Adekunle and Mubarak Ganiyu.
Others are 3 females including Deborah Abiodun, Kaosarat Adegboyega and Fatimah Ganiyu.
While addressing the representatives before leaving the state, the Chairman of the Association, Dr. Mogaji Akin Fagbemi urged them to secure a massive victory for Oyo State and make the “Pace Setter” state proud in their outing at the Championship.
In his address, the Head Coach, Ganiyu Tirimisiyu appreciated the Chairman for his unflinching support and urged the state representatives not to betray the confidence reposed in them.
The state representatives were led by the Assistant Coach, Gazah Olaitan.
