Nigerian Afro-pop singer, Azeez Fashola, better known as Naira Marley, has been arrested by the Nigeria Police over the death of one of his former signee, Ilerioluwa Aloba, professionally known as MohBad.
This was confirmed by Benjamin Hundeyin, Spokesperson of Lagos Police Command in a statement issued to journalists on Tuesday night.
Daily Insight Nigeria reports that Naira Marley was arrested by the Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) upon his return to the country on Tuesday night.

“Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, has been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities,” Hundeyin noted on his X (former Twitter) account late Tuesday.
According to report, Naira Marley is expected to assist the police in their investigation into the demise of MohBad, which has generated mixed reactions on and off social media.
Naira Marley had earlier vowed to clear his name and had, before the police statement, confirmed his arrival in Nigeria to help the probe into his former signee’s demise.
