PTTI empowers entrepreneurs during 5th Annual Year-End Event

Positive Think Tanks Initiative (PTTI), a Non Governmental Organization has reiterated its commitment towards enhancing public welfare, providing support to the less privileged through various initiatives.

Sir Tola Adebayo, President PTTI who disclosed this in a recent event marking the 5th end-of-year event at Camp David Resorts in Iyaganku, Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State said the NGO will continue to embark on activities such as outreach to children on Children’s Day, distributing foodstuff palliatives to the less privileged at Bodija Market to celebrate World Food Day on October 16 as well as donation of Nigerian flags to corporate organizations to commemorate Independence Day on October 1st among others.

In his submission, Barrister Yemi Okunade, the Chairman of the Initiative, recounted the NGO’s humble beginnings as a small social media forum that has since grown into a significant force for positive change.

He commended the collective efforts of all members in contributing to various philanthropic activities, including the donation of a police post and jackets for traffic officers.

The event organized on Friday, December 29, 2023, themed, “Entrepreneurship and Safety,” featured guest speakers who addressed crucial aspects of entrepreneurship and business succession.

Mr. Ayo Soyinka, in his remark emphasized the importance of a stable economy for business survival, urging aspiring entrepreneurs to conduct thorough research and consider market acceptability and sustainability.

On his part, Mr. Ayodele Issac Awoseyi, stressed that government support alone is insufficient to eradicate unemployment, advocating for creativity among youths.

 

He emphasized the need for entrepreneurs to be well-informed about their businesses, start small, and gradually scale up.

Another speaker, Mr. Abiodun Ayobami Akinbola, also highlighted entrepreneurship as a means of creating business opportunities, emphasizing the need for a deep understanding of the chosen business and a supportive environment.

He urged individuals not to be discouraged and called for a relentless pursuit of progress in starting a business.

Highpoint of the event was presentation of awards to deserving perdonalities where Sir Adedamola Adebayo was awarded the Presidential Merit Award, Presidential Distinction Awards were presented to Mr. Adedayo Adeyemi and Barrister Olamide Idowu.

The Karim Adeyemi Foundation, an Ibadan-based non-governmental organization, was also decorated with the Award of Recognition.
