The Kwara State Table Tennis Squad, under the leadership of Executive Chairman Coach Bola Mogaji of the Kwara State Sports Commission, is set to showcase their prowess at the Olaaj Open Table Tennis Championship billed for Abeokuta in Ogun State, from February 6th to 8th, 2024.
Featuring four talented male players—Abdulbasit Abdulfatai, Lateef Yunus, Fabunmi Mathew, and Awwal Jawondo—the team is determined to bring glory to the state.
In anticipation of the championship, Aiyelabegan Kehinde, the state’s table tennis head coach, emphasized their thorough preparation and announced the team’s departure on Monday, February 5th, 2024.
Coach Aiyelabegan expressed confidence in his players, assuring table tennis enthusiasts in Kwara State that the team would represent with excellence and secure victory.
While appreciating the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, for his massive support, he called on Kwara state natives, both at home and abroad, to rally behind the table tennis team, promising that the representatives would not disappoint.
The Olaaj Open Table Tennis Championship is scheduled to unfold at the Alake Sports Center, Ijeja Stadium, Abeokuta, Ogun State, from February 6th to 8th, 2024.
