Sports enthusiasts throughout Osun State are celebrating the commencement of the Osun Governor’s Cup 2024, which was marked by robust participation and stellar performances.
The Osun Governor’s Cup 2024, a football tournament for secondary school students in Osun State sponsored by Peculiar Ultimate Concerns, kicked off on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at various venues.

In the second match of the day, Fakunle Comprehensive High School dominated Ilobu Grammar School with a 4-0 win, led by Toheeb Salami’s brace, and contributions from Wahab Timilehin and Amosun Ramadan, who each scored a goal.
The grassroots development initiatives in Osun State received widespread appreciation from sports lovers and stakeholders, who praised the sponsors and advocated for continued support to nurture young talent.
The Osun Schools Sports Governors Cup, spanning across the state, aims to unearth gifted footballers among the student population.
