Adeyemi Football Club of Ibadan, fresh off a 2-0 victory over Achievers Football Academy, is set to face Saki United in the next round of the Oyo State Federation Cup. Saki United secured their spot in the next round by defeating SDK FC 3-1 on penalties after a 1-1 draw on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.
Addressing his players after the draw announcement, Head Coach Kolawole Emmanuel, also known as “Coach Drey,” urged them to prepare for another significant challenge.
“Guys, this is another opportunity for us to demonstrate our abilities and prove our worth. Saki United is a formidable opponent, and we must not underestimate them. However, our sole objective is to win. Prepare yourselves mentally, and let’s approach the game with our usual high spirits,” he disclosed.
Coach Drey emphasized the importance of the match, emphasizing that it is a must-win for his team. He appealed to his players to work together as a cohesive unit and progress to the next round.
Expressing confidence in the traveling squad, Coach Drey assured them that they have completed their necessary preparations, providing him with a solid assurance of victory.
Adeyemi FC will battle Saki United on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 3 PM at Atori Stadium, Iseyin.
