Comptroller Dera Nnadi eulogizes Sylvester Egede at TCIP dinner

The Customs Area Controller Tincan Island Port, Comptroller Dera A Nnadi, has commended the effort of the Port Manager, Mr Sylvester O Egede who reported recently to the port but has achieved a great feat due to the synergy between the Customs, other sister security agencies.

The CAC gave the commendation at a dinner organized to celebrate the 18th day of Iftar with the Muslim in the holy month of Ramadan as well as to usher in the celebration of Easter with the Christian folks at the Tincan Island Area Command.

He also urged all stakeholders to be dedicated in their respective fields towatds national growth and development.

Speaking at the occasion on Thursday, the CAC highlighted the importance of coming together to uphold the nation in prayers for continuous development.

Comptroller Dera Nnadi spoke highly of Mr Egede’s feat at the port within a short time of his arrival and urged all stakeholders to be dedicated to working for national growth.

Comp. Nnadi expressed his appreciation towards the collaboration received by truck operators and crave that they should endeavour to understand that the resolved traffic situation is a positive development that will encourage seamless vehicular movement and multiple turnovers within a short time to the port, as compared to what was obtained in the past.

He said the traffic situation has caused deaths to some road users and adversely affected government drive for trade facilitation and ease of doing business.

Responding, the Port Manager of Tin Can Island Port Mr Sylvester Othuke Egede gave insight and explained how a combination of long standing work experience, environmental awareness and institutional knowledge contributed to solving the traffic challenge that obstructed the flow of vehicular movement from Mile 2 to the Tincan Seaport.

In his closing remark, the CAC TCIPC, thanked all who made out time to honour the invitation, especially the Imam of TCIPC Mosque, who gave the closing prayers at the event.

His prayers were for the success of nation and the government at all times, as a prosperous nation would rub off positively on her citizens.
