Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State, is gearing up for an extraordinary trade fair that is set to take place from June 7th to 17th, 2024.
This highly anticipated event is expected to create a significant positive impact on vendors’ businesses and individuals alike.
Dr. Delight Owoyemi, Executive Director of Mega Trade Fair Nigeria, during a press conference, shed light on the importance of this upcoming event and its potential to boost businesses.
He said, “This will not be just another trade fair. We have a clear target, agenda, and vision for this event. We are offering something unique to the good people of Ibadan and all Nigerians in general. People from across Nigeria will be attending, and we are well-prepared to deliver an impactful trade fair experience.
“With the vision of staging mega specialized exhibitions and conferences across all industrial sectors in Nigeria, this event will benefit every stakeholders from within and outside our Nation.
“We have secured partnerships with organizations that are ready to support us in making this event a resounding success, among which are NaijaList, NIMN, TIC SMEDAN, BOI, AFAN, NASSI, NASME” Dr. Owoyemi explained.
According to the Executive Director, “This year’s edition is proposed to bring together manufacturers, MDAs, MSMEs, businesses, investors, researchers, Business Enthusiasts, public and private stakeholders across 30 Industries, to foster networking, collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the exploration of opportunities within the digital economy landscape”.
The trade fair themed, “Digitalized Economy: A Smarter Marketplace,” encapsulates the narrative for this year’s event.
Dr. Owoyemi stressed the need for Ibadan, as a significant city, to have an environment conducive to thriving businesses, and this trade fair aims to fulfill that need.
Regarding event partnerships, Dr. Owoyemi revealed that several prominent Nigerian brands are fully committed to collaborating and ensuring the success of the trade fair.
He assured that both large and small brands from both within and outside Oyo State are eager to offer their support, emphasizing the inclusivity and broad reach of the event.
The Lekan Salami Stadium in Adamasingba, and the National Museum of Unity, Aleshinloye both in Ibadan, will serve as venues for vendors, shoppers, and stakeholders to witness the highly anticipated Mega Trade Fair.
