The Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) has planned its annual/flagship policy and advocacy lecture labeled Chief S.L. Edu Memorial Lecture to take put on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.
Mr. Oladapo Soneye, NCF’s Head of Communications, who made this known in a statement issued to journalists in Lagos said this year’s version is the 22nd in the arrangement with the theme: “Carbon Credits: Opportunities and Pitfalls”.
According to him, Mr. Kevin Juma, Africa Climate Chief, The Nature Conservancy, Nairobi Kenya will be delivering lecture for the day.
Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Lagos State is anticipated to attend as the Special Guest of Honour while the audience will include members of the diplomatic corps, traditional rulers, policy makers among others.
The Memorial Lecture is an annual event put together by NCF in collaboration with the Family of Late Chief S.L. Edu, founder of NCF, with support from Chevron Nigeria Constrained.
For over two decades, the Establishment has through eminent speakers, brought environmental issues issues to the fore while articulating solutions for them.
