The Nigeria House of Representatives extends warm Sallah felicitations to Muslim faithful across our country and beyond as they celebrate Eid- el-Kabir.
Eid-al-Adha, also known as Eid-el- Kabir, is one of the major Muslim fests celebrated annually in honor of Prophet Ibrahim’s (PBUH) amenability to immolate his son Ismail (PBUH) according to Allah’s (SWT) command — a good illustration of obedience and devotion.
This season reminds us of the significance of putting the requirements of others before our own and seeking for the lesser good. Eid-el- Kabir also promotes concinnity and harmony among Muslims andnon-Muslims, which are essential values for our different population.

The statement signed by Hon. Akin Rotimi Jr., House Spokesman and Chairman, House Committee on Media & Public Affairs reads: “We encourage all, especially those in positions of leadership, and Nigerians at large, to imbibe these values in our collaborative pursuit to make a more united, harmonious, and prosperous country”.
Rt.Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Speaker of the House of Representatives, in his congratulatory communication to Muslims, farther notes that the festivity is about total submission to a advanced authority, immolation, and charity.
Speaker Abbas, in reminding Muslims about the supremacy of Allah (SWT) and the significance of immolation, supplicated for Allah (SWT) to accept their offerings.
In his words: “I call on all Nigerians to continue soliciting for their leaders, just as I prompt them to use this period for sober reflection and to be their family’s keeper at all times,” he sttessed.
