SIFAX Shipping Company Limited, an attachment of SIFAX Group, has sealed a cooperation deal with ECU Worldwide, the world’s number one LCL player, to boost export activities from Nigeria.
Less-than-Container cargo (LCL) is one of two main types of containerized transportation services, the other is Full-Container cargo (FCL).
LCL is optimal when you do not fill up an entire vessel. It allows the transportation of small weight volumes without paying for the whole vessel.
The cooperation will help business possessors and exporters whose entrustments are lower than vessel cargo to pierce the transnational request.
According to Paul Linden, MD, SIFAX Logistics Company Limited, this service was offered in response to inquiries from numerous clients who are desirous of exporting their products but don’t have the needed huge volume.
He said “We know that numerous SMEs and business possessors are desirous of penetrating the transnational request, but are hampered by their lack of large volume. This service is designed particularly to address this concern. It’ll boost Nigeria’s import and be a game changer for our small and medium-scale businesses. We’ve put all installations in place to insure the business runs easily in cooperation with ECU Worldwide. ”
Adekunle Owobamirin, AGM, SIFAX Shipping, noted that all arrangements have been perfected to make the service a success.
“Our associates from ECU have inspected our warehouse and we’ve formerly assigned devoted staff who would work on this service.
Muyiwa AkandeGroup Head, Corporate Communications disclosed that ECU Worldwide and SIFAX Shipping is the first consolidator cooperation to offer devoted LCL export services from Nigeria to the world.
“Our mates have established 2,400 direct trade lines with a presence in over 180 countries. This will allow all our customers to export their goods anywhere in the world” he submitted.
