‘Those items seized were taken to their White House Office, where they are kept in heaps of cartons without taking them alongside with those caught with the items to the Port Police. They will later take the items to their office, keep it there and allow the perpetrators to go’ Tanko claimed.

The 100% Compliance Team National Coordinator who fumes that this act of gross misconduct cannot deter the perpetrators from repeating same in the future also questioned the high-handedness of the APMT security staff by confiscating and withholding sample, also quizzed “Why are the samples not returned to the containers from where they are taken or allegedly stole from in the first place? Why those samples are always kept at the APMT office? Why are the perpetrators allegedly apprehended are not handed over to the Port Police for scrutiny and possibly prosecution?

He however imploded CP Olanrewaju Olawale Ishola, Commissioner of Police, Western Ports, Apapa Port Complex to quickly investigate and unravel the unscrupulous elements in APMT and ensure that normalcy is restored for easy business transaction for all freight forwarders.
