Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, founder of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) has marked his 70 years birthday celebration with pomp and pageantry.
The carnival-like celebration took place on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at the NAGAFF’s Headquarters in Lagos.
In his remarks, High Chief Tochukwu Ezisi, described the Ozo Ebube Chukwu of Umuawulu as “the icon of the maritime industry”.
According to Ezisi, “When you talk about freight forwarding in Nigeria, if you don’t mention Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, your story is not complete. Officially he clocked 70 years on Sunday, September 15, 2024. We pray that he keeps growing stronger to continue playing his fatherly role to all Freight Forwarders in Nigeria”.
Dr. Boniface Aniebonam has made significant contributions to the maritime industry in Nigeria, particularly through his roles in advocacy, policy formulation, and capacity building.
He has been a proponent of enhancing maritime education and training in Nigeria, which is crucial for building a skilled workforce capable of meeting the demands of the industry.
His initiatives have led to the establishment of educational programs that align with international maritime standards.
Dr. Boniface Aniebonam’s contributions have had a profound impact on the growth and development of the maritime industry in Nigeria, promoting sustainability, safety, and professionalism.
Dignitaries at the event are Mr. Simeon Nwonu, Deputy National Vice President NAGAFF, Chief Fabian Ifeanyichukwu Okafor, Deputy Chairman, Board of Trustees NAGAFF, Deaconess Kate Oghagbon, members of NAGAFF National Council, the Women’s Wing of the NAGAFF among others.
