Book Launch: Adeniyi echoes NCS commitment to improving quality education in Nigeria

Provision of quality education remains a top precedence for the Nigeria Customs Service, as it plays a critical part in the nation’s development.
Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, the Comptroller-General of Customs, who made this submission on Thursday, September 26 2024, while delivering his speech at a book launch at NAF Conference Centre in Abuja.
The CGC bared that NCS intend to do this by erecting and revamping primary and secondary schools in various states across the country.
Adeniyi while highlighting the significance of ensuring that every child, regardless of background, has access to an excellent educational experience also added that the NCS will continue to provide resources to address this issue.
CGC Adeniyi was speaking as the Chairmman during the launch of a book titled “Business Geek: Innovative Incubator From Concept to Reality”, penned by Asma’u Isah Maibasirah, wife of one of the high- ranking officers of NCS.
According to him “the book aims to foster a culture of creativity and business wit among Nigerians, particularly the youth, by furnishing practical guidance on transubstantiating innovative generalities into feasible enterprises”.
The Comptroller-General, who pointed out that the book offers precious perceptivity into entrepreneurship and invention, which are critical for addressing the country’s severance challenges, also stated, “There must be something in this book that we must pay serious attention to. ”
He added, “It’s a veritably timely intervention because we have a high severance rate, especially among the youth, and I believe this is the time we must each snare this book.
The CGC applauded the author’s initiative and noted that the book aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s agenda of empowering small-scale businesses to revitalise the economy.
 The book titled: “Business Geek”, authored by Asma’u, aims to foster a culture of creativity and business wit among Nigerians, particularly the youth, by furnishing practical guidance on transubstantiating innovative generalities into feasible enterprises.”
CGC Adeniyi, still, pledged the support of the Nigeria Customs Service in uniting with the author to insure the book reaches a wider followership, adding, “We are committed to supporting the author in furnishing acceptable published clones whenever the need arises. ”
In his comment, the Book Reviewer, Professor Muhammad Aliyu Paiko,Vice-Chancellor of Abdulkadir Kure University, Minna, Niger State, described the publication as perceptive and robust exploration material for intellectualists and scholars likewise.
He lauded the author for her thorough exploration and compelling donation of ideas applicable to academic and professional audiences.
Dr Maibasirah, author of the book however expressed her profound gratefulness to Mrs Kikelomo Adewale Adeniyi, Wife of the Comptroller-General of Nigeria Customs Service, and President of Customs Officers women Association (COWA) who represented the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her unvarying support towards the success of the publication.
Dr Maibasirah conceded the critical part the First Lady played in furnishing stimulant and backing that assured the book’s successful launch.
She also appreciated the CG Customs and his team for their immense support, which she noted had a positive impact on the entire process of publishing and launching the book.
She also extended her sincere gratefulness to the former Governor of Zamfara State, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, who served as the Chief Launcher at the event, and other distinguished guests for their presence and benefactions to the launching ceremony.
According to her, “the Business Geek” contributes to the converse on entrepreneurship and highlights efforts to promote Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) as a pathway to profitable substance.
The event drew participants from various sectors and served as a platform for agitating strategies for enhancing entrepreneurial chops and using innovative results for public development.
