Stakeholders including state government, private sector and all climate innovators have been urged to work together with the aim of promoting climate action, sustainable development, and a greener future for Nigeria and the world.
Hon. Nwabueze George, National Coordinator, Made In Nigeria Project Office, made the call on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 while addressing journalists at the press conference and information session regarding the Made in Nigeria Pavilion and Exhibition Stand at the upcoming COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Speaking further, MAINPro National Coordinator disclosed that the objectives of Nigeria’s participation in COP 29 among others is to “Showcase Nigerian-made climate-friendly technologies and innovations. Promote international partnerships and collaborations, Demonstrate Nigeria’s progress towards achieving the Paris Agreement goals, as well as Fostering knowledge sharing and expertise among Nigerian stakeholders”.
Hon. George however urged concerned stakeholders to apply for the limited space at the Nigeria’s pavilion and exhibition stand at COP29 taking place between November 11 to 22, 2024..
In his remarks, Mr Oladunjoye Musiliu, Director, International Organization Department (IOD),
Office of Secretary to Government of the Federation (OSGF) opined that “Nigeria’s pavilion and exhibition stand will showcase innovative solutions, policies, and initiatives that demonstrate our commitment to climate resilience and sustainable development
According to him, “the Green Zone of COP29 will feature Interactive sessions with Nigerian climate experts and policymakers, Display of Nigerian climate-friendly products and services, Community-led climate initiatives as well as Art and cultural exhibitions highlighting climate change impacts”

Made In Nigeria Project Office (MainPro), in her submission noted that “the essence of the project is as a result of Nigeria’s commitment to climate action”.
She hinted that the event is open to organizations, business and individuals working on climate-related projects with benefits such as 2-week accreditation, free visa and networking with global climate leaders and stakeholders among others.
Made in Nigeria Project Office Abuja is being supported by Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
