The Centre for Human and Socio-economic Rights (CHSR) has commiserated with the Nigerian Army, the Federal Government of Nigeria and the immediate family of the late Chief Of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Taoreed Lagbaja who died on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

This is contained in a letter signed by Comrade Alex Omotehinse, National President of CHSR.
The letter reads: “We urged the Nigerian Army not see the death of the late Army Chief as a resolve to defeat the fight against insurgence and other associated vices plaguing Nigeria.
“It is our strong believe that Lt. Gen Taoreed Lagbaja during his lifetime was committed to riding Nigeria off criminal elements Lagbaja left an indelible mark on the sand of times
“Nigeria has just lost a great man our sincere condolence to Mr. President , Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigeria Army and his immediate family that he left behind” the statement concluded.
The late Chief of Army Staff died aged 56 after brief illness. May his gentle soul rest in peace
