GTP to host Women In Transport Conference in Lagos

The Global Transport Policy (GTP) will on Friday, November 29, 2024 organize a special program called “Women In Transport Conference” where women in transport sector will take the centre stage in charting a new course in the development of transport sector in Nigeria.

The conference with the theme: “Mindset Plus Skillset: Championing Inclusive Agenda for Women in the Nigerian Transport Industry” will be coming up at Marriott Hotel, GRA Ikeja, Lagos.

Dr. Segun Alade Musa, Chairman/Chief Consultant, Global Transport Policy (GTP) disclosed that Dr. (Mrs.) Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, wife of the Governor of Lagos State will grace the occasion as the Special Guest of Honour while Engr. (Mrs) Abimbola Akinajo, Managing Director of Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) will be the Keynote Speaker of the day.

“Captain Ibironke Rotimi-Olajide, First Female Pilot to fly the Embraer 195-E2 Aircraft in Africa, Dr. Ogochukwu Ugboma, Senior Lecturer/Head of Department, Transport Management and Operations, Lagos State University (LASU) and Barr. Tosan Edodo-Emore, President of Women in Maritime, West and Central Africa (WIMOWCA) will feature as panelists to be moderated by Mrs. Vivian Chimezie, Director-General of Nigeria Chamber of Shipping” Dr. Musa submitted.
