CONMMEP fixes Dec. 17 to hold workshop on port community engagement

Congress of Nigerian Maritime Media Practitioners (CONMMEP) has concluded plans to hold a one day workshop on Port Community Engagement.
According to the statement issued by Mcanthony Udochukwu Onuoha,
Public Relations Officer, the workshop with the theme “Building Partnerships for Sustainable Development” will afford stakeholders, government agencies and corporate establishments within the maritime sector to  review Port community engagement and chart a new course for development and more gainful partnerships”.
“The workshop aims to promote Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and showcase people oriented projects and services benefitting port Communities. It also seeks to address challenges resulting from neglecting the host Communities” the PRO added.
“The workshop, which was initially planned to hold at Marriott Hotel Ikeja on 28th of November, 2024, has now been rescheduled to hold at Rockview Hotel and Suites, Apapa, at 10 AM on Tuesday, 17th of December 2024.
“The Minister for Marine and Blue Economy, His Excellency, Adegboyega Oyetola, CON, will be the Chief Guest of Honour, while the Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale, Bashir Adeniyi, MFR, is Special Guest of Honour. Royal Fathers of the Day are Ojora of Ijora Kingdom, HRM, Oba Abdul Fatai Aremu Aromire and the Olu of Iwa and Apapa Kingdom, HRM, Oba Moroof Oyekunle Atanda Amodu Tijani Oluwa.
“CONMMEP wants to use this medium to reassure stakeholders of its readiness and commitment to this august event, and is optimistic of its huge success.
“CONMMEP, a media advocacy group committed to fair, unbiased, and balanced reportage on Nigeria’s maritime sector will at the event, provide a platform for Maritime stakeholders.
