Customs MMIA Command surpasses 2024 target with over ₦71.6billion revenue generated

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Command has announced generating a total sum of Seventy One Billion Six Hundred and Thirty Three Million Six Hundred and Eighty Seven Thousand One Hundred and Eight Naira Eighth Four Kobo (₦71,633,687,108.84) for the year 2024.

while making this announcement disclosed that the total sum generated by the Command surpassed its revenue target for 2024.
While expressing delight over the record-breaking revenue achieved, Comptroller Harrison described the 2024 revenue as unprecedented, noting that it is the highest ever generated in the history of the Command.
The CAC revealed that the Command had exceeded its annual revenue target of ₦56,861,094,269.07 by generating ₦71,633,687,108.84, representing a 20% increase, amounting to ₦14,772,592,839.27.
He further highlighted that July 2024 was a standout month, with the command recording its highest-ever monthly revenue of ₦12,084,020,992.46.
Comparing the Command’s performance in 2023 and 2024, Comptroller Harrison noted a significant revenue increase of ₦41,130,179,709.75 in 2024  to the ₦30,503,507,399.09 generated in 2023, reflecting a 135% growth.
He attributed this exceptional performance to the dedication, commitment, and adherence to high operational standards by the officers and men of the Command.
The CAC commended the officers and men of the command for their relentless efforts, which were instrumental in achieving this milestone and urged  them to intensify their efforts to maintain these standards in order to generate more revenue into the Government coffers in the year 2025.
Comptroller Harrison however expressed profound gratitude to the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, and his management team for their unwavering support to the MMIA Command.
The CAC also extended special appreciation to critical stakeholders and other government agencies, acknowledging them as invaluable partners in the command’s continued success in 2024. He expressed optimism that the command will achieve even greater milestones in fulfilling its core mandates in 2025.
