CGC’s Award: A new date will be announced soon – NMJ

The Nigeria Maritime Journalists (NMJ) has announced the postponement of the scheduled award dinner, in honour of the  Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi.
Dele Aderibigbe, NMJ’s Chairman, Planning Committee who made this known in a statement issued to journalists said the postponement was compelled by circumstances beyond the control of the organisers.
Aderibigbe while speaking on behalf of the organizing committee stated that NMJ deeply regrets any  inconvenience the unexpected postponement must have cause invited guests
“A new date would soon be announced” he stressed.
The CGC following an unprecedented achievements in trade facilitation, enviable interagency collaborators, capped by a breathtaking revenue generation was scheduled for honour
with the “Iconic Maritime Personality of the Year 2024” on Thursday 16 January 2025 by the highly impressed media practitioners.
NMJ, a body of all media practitioners in the maritime subsector comprising differerent associations such as Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN), League of Maritime Editors (LOME), Association of Maritime Journalists of Nigeria (AMJON), Maritime Journalists Association of Nigeria (MAJAN), Shipping Correspondents Association of Nigeria (SCAN), Online Maritime Media Association of Nigeria (OMMAN) and Congress of Maritime Media Practitioners  (CONMMEP).
