National Convention: NNPP ratifies automatic tickets for all elected members as Dr. Major emerges National Chairman

Delegates at the just concluded National Convention of the New Nigeria People’s Party has ratified automatic tickets for all elected members of the party to enable them run for offices in the next general election unopposed.

According to a motion moved in Lagos during the 54th National Convention of the party by Hon. Musa Yankaba, Secretary, Kano State NNPP and seconded by Hon. Chief Ojoegu Ifeanyi Stephen, State Chairman, Ebonyi State NNPP, this move is to encourage them for being good ambassadors of the party.

In his welcome address, Alh. Mohammed Abdullahi Babayo Secretary, Board of Trustees of NNPP charged all the delegates at the 54th National Convention of the party to be steadfast in ensuring good government emerges corridors of power in the country.

In his words: “The task ahead is enormous, but with unity, hard work, and a clear vision, we will continue to strengthen the NNPP and position it as the true vehicle for change in Nigeria. I urge you all to work tirelessly in expanding our grassroots presence, mobilizing support, and fostering internal democracy within the party. Together, we must ensure that the NNPP remains a formidable force in shaping the future of our dear country” Babayo stressed.

In his submission, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, Founder and Chairman of Board of Trustees, NNPP stated that the just concluded National Convention put to rest all the drama going on within the party.

He said the new elected members of National Working Committee of the party will henceforth take leadership of the party while he will take the seat at the elder that he is.

Dr. Aniebonam who stated that he had forgiven Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso despite all his misdeeds to his person and the party in general however called for prayer for Kwankwaso and ask God to forgive him.

Meanwhile, Dr. Agbo Gilbert Major emerged as the National Chairman in the newly conditioned National Working Committee of the party while Comrade Oginni S. Olaposi emerged National Secretary with oath of office administered on the Committee by the party’s legal adviser.
