Comptroller Babatunde Olomu, the leader and Commanding Officer of Apapa Port Command has concluded plan to visit 2A, Maybin Road, Headquarters of National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, in furtherance to the effort of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, and his management team in ensuring peaceful and industrial harmony in the Nigeria Customs ports and borders.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Fwdr. Godfrey Emeka Nwosu, NAGAFF’s Secretary-General and made available to Daily Insight NG on Saturday, June 28, 2025.
According to Nwosu, “with the meeting schedule for Tuesday, July 1st 2025, the leadership of the premier port of Nigeria has taken up this responsibility to actualize the objectives set by the CGC.”
The statement reads: “In view of this development, the Controller of Apapa Port Command shall be visiting NAGAFF Headquarters to confer with the leadership and members with a view to carrying along the critical stakeholders.
“It is on record that the ongoing customs modernization is targeted towards ensuring that the customs ports and borders are made to be most friendly, competitive, efficient and revenue oriented.
“It is also expected to stem down smuggling activities, facilitate trade and ensure e-commerce application in the customs ports and borders through B’Odogwu indigenous revolution” the statement concluded.
The Secretary-General of NAGAFF however urged all freight forwarders, Members of the Board, National Executive Officers (Western Zone) and other stakeholders to be at the headquarters to receive the CAC Apapa Port Command during his visit to the Headquarters on Tuesday.
