The Eternal Sacred Order of the Morning Star & St. Michael Star, Fountain of Life, Mount Zion, has rolled out celebrations to mark the 100th anniversary of the White Garment movement and its 68th Annual General Conference.
From its humble beginnings under the late Saint Moses Orimolade Tunolashe, the Cherubim and Seraphim tradition has grown into a global spiritual movement, spreading across Nigeria, Africa, Europe, and the Americas.
The event themed: “…and will comfort them and make them rejoice from their sorrow” (Jeremiah 31:13) which took place at the Saint Moses Orimolade Pro-Cathedral, Festac Town, Lagos on Tuesday, 9th September, 2025 witnessed participants from across Nigeria and beyond.

In his remark, Most Apostle General Innocent C.A. Dialekwe noted that despite challenges in the North, the church has continued to grow steadily. “Generally, there is no part of the North where you don’t find a White Garment church,” he affirmed.
He explained that though there are obstacles-such as castigation of the faith-the true gospel and answered prayers have been instrumental in winning converts. “When they experience healing and miracles, they themselves testify, and through that, many others are converted,” he added.
Mother in Israel, Rita Ogboko, Secretary of the Edo/Delta/Anambra Province Women’s Association, highlighted how women have become stronger torchbearers of the gospel in the past century.
“Unlike before when attendance was routine, today women are actively preaching Christ and pursuing the salvation race. The message of our Baba Aladura has always been righteousness and unification, not just visions or rituals,” she stressed.
Senior Apostle General David Aderemi Fatoba, representing the United Kingdom diaspora, shared the transformation of perceptions abroad saying Many thought White Garment worship was only in local languages, but when they saw our services conducted in English, it drew many to the church.
Our youth must not run from their roots. I have lived in the UK for 40 years and remained faithful. White Garment is a leading light of Christianity, and we must be proud of it” he muted.
Baba Aladura Joseph Olatunji Adenaike in his submission described the centenary as a rallying point for all White Garment churches. “This celebration is about uniting the body worldwide. Our founder, Saint Moses Orimolade, was an anointed prophet from the womb. This centenary must awaken us to do more than ever before,” he said.
His Eminence, Most Apostle General J.O. Daodu, Advisory Board Member and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, used the celebration to call for a return to the pure doctrine laid down by the founder. “The founder used only water and oil. Sadly, some have introduced fetish practices in the name of spirituality. That is not our doctrine. Let us return to the path laid by Saint Orimolade,” he admonished.
Special Senior Apostle General Oluwatosin Badejo emphasized the spiritual symbolism of the white garment. “In heaven, the saints and angels are robed in white (Revelation 7). Our garment is not fashion—it is divine instruction. One cannot serve God without purity, symbolized in white,” he said.
The week-long program featured praise nights, lectures, documentaries, and worship services, drawing participants from across Nigeria and the diaspora. According to the organizers, the centenary is not just a commemoration but a renewal of commitment to salvation, unity, and holiness.
The resounding message from all leaders and members was clear: the White Garment movement has come of age, and its next 100 years must be anchored on unity, purity of doctrine, youth involvement, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ.
