The Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), DIG Hashimu Argungu (rtd.), has extended heartfelt felicitations to the Government and people of Nigeria on the nation’s 65th Independence Anniversary.
In a goodwill message issued on behalf of the Management and Staff of the Commission, the PSC Chairman also congratulated officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) as well as Commission staff, urging them to remain steadfast in their service to the nation.
DIG Argungu noted that Independence Day is not only a time for celebration but also for sober reflection on the sacrifices of Nigeria’s founding fathers. He emphasized that the day reminds all citizens of their collective responsibility to build a united, peaceful, and prosperous country.
The PSC Chairman called on police officers across the country to rededicate themselves to professionalism, discipline, and integrity in the discharge of their duties. He assured Nigerians that the Commission remains unwavering in its commitment to reforms aimed at ensuring an efficient, motivated, and accountable Police Force.
“As we celebrate our Independence, let us renew our faith in Nigeria and continue to work together in unity and love. The challenges may be daunting, but with resilience and commitment, our nation will continue to thrive,” Argungu said.
The Commission prayed for the peace, progress, and prosperity of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, reaffirming its determination to support the Nigeria Police Force in delivering on its constitutional mandate of maintaining law and order.
