A Lagos State Magistrate Court sitting in Ebutte-Meta has ordered the remand of a woman, Toyin Fayose, popularly known as Toyin Ido Ogangan, at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre over allegations of cyber bullying, conspiracy, and public incitement against Alhaja Yinka Adesoye, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of GEC Cosmetics, her family members, and associates.
Fayose, an Environmental Health Officer residing at Peter Fayose Housing Estate, Ikole-Ekiti, was arraigned before Magistrate Court 2 on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. She is facing a two-count charge bordering on conspiracy, breach of public peace, and cyber harassment.

According to the Inspector General of Police Prosecutors, Fayose and others still at large—identified as Tolulope Adeoye (Abike Jagaban), Adebimpe Alasho Adura, Layo Stubborn, Straight from the Heart, Kolapo Akeem Abiola (Baba Legba Orororo), and Sunday Omion (Epagboyimika)—allegedly conspired to cyber bully and incite the public against Alhaja Adesoye and her associates.
The prosecution alleged that the defendants used online platforms to publish materials aimed at defaming and demarketing the GEC Cosmetics boss, an act said to contravene Section 39 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.

When the charges were read, Fayose pleaded not guilty. Her counsel moved a bail application, which was granted under strict conditions. The court, however, ordered that she be remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Centre pending the fulfillment of her bail terms.
Bail was set at ₦1 million, with two sureties in like sum. The sureties must be residents of Lagos State, with one being a traditional chief, and the other owning verifiable property with a Certificate of Occupancy (C of O).
The Magistrate further warned the defendant to desist from any further acts of cyber bullying or harassment of the complainants during the pendency of the case.
The matter was adjourned to November 18, 2025, for continuation of trial.
The case has drawn public attention amid a rising number of prosecutions involving the misuse of social media for defamation, cyber stalking, and incitement across Lagos State.
