Hon. Muyiwa Timothy Olabintan has officially been inaugurated as a member of the Board of the South West Development Commission (SWDC), marking a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to drive sustainable development across Nigeria’s southwest region.

In a heartfelt public statement following his inauguration, Hon. Olabintan expressed deep gratitude to God for preserving him for what he described as an “onerous assignment,” while extending appreciation to his family, mentors, leaders, colleagues, and supporters for their prayers, goodwill, and encouragement.

“This is not just a personal achievement,” he stated. “It is a collective opportunity for us all to shape the future of the southwest region with vision, integrity, and impact.”

The newly appointed Federal Commissioner emphasized the importance of collaboration and unity, describing his appointment as a call to duty and service. He urged stakeholders and citizens across the region to partner with him in building a “more vibrant, industrious, and prosperous southwest.”

In reaffirming his commitment to the role, Hon. Olabintan acknowledged the support of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), who appointed him to the board. “I thank Mr. President for the confidence reposed in me. I promise not to disappoint,” he said.

The South West Development Commission (SWDC) is tasked with spearheading economic growth, infrastructure development, and social advancement in the southwest geo-political zone of Nigeria.

Hon. Olabintan concluded his remarks with a renewed pledge to serve with courage, transparency, and dedication, inspired by the belief and trust of those who have supported his journey.
