Barely 24 hours after assuming office as the Customs Area Controller (CAC) of the Apapa Area Command, Comptroller Emmanuel Oshoba has recorded a historic revenue collection of ₦20,156,077,098.56 on Tuesday, September 9, 2025-the highest ever daily revenue generated by any command under the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) using the Unified Customs Management System (UCMS), also known as B’Odogwu.
This milestone surpasses the previous record of ₦18 billion, setting a new benchmark for efficiency and commitment in revenue generation.
In his maiden address upon assumption of duty on Monday, Comptroller Oshoba pledged to build on the achievements of his predecessor and surpass existing targets. He followed up immediately with a strategic meeting involving senior officers, commending them for past successes and charging them to intensify their efforts.

“Outstanding results are the true reflection of hard work, dedication, and an uncompromising attitude to duty,” Comptroller Oshoba stated. “I believe we can do even better.”
On the ₦20.1 billion feat, the new CAC maintained a humble tone, describing it as merely the beginning:
“This is not yet time to celebrate. Clapping means taking both hands off the work. Let us save the celebration for when we surpass targets consistently, eliminate smuggling attempts, and facilitate trade with greater speed and integrity. I believe in action—because it speaks louder than words.”
He further emphasized the importance of the B’Odogwu platform in driving customs modernization and trade efficiency, which are vital to strengthening Nigeria’s position as Africa’s largest economy.
“We are all part of history. Our collective efforts are positively impacting the Nigerian economy. I urge my officers to remain steadfast and for our stakeholders, continue on the path of compliance,” he added.
Comptroller Oshoba reaffirmed his commitment to transparency, efficiency, and stakeholder engagement, laying a strong foundation for even greater achievements under his leadership.
