In a firm rebuttal to a viral falsehood making the rounds on social media, former Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency Chief Willie Obiano, has assured family members, supporters, and the general public that he remains in excellent health.
According to an official statement issued and signed by Dr. Paul Nwosu on behalf of the former governor, Chief Obiano described the rumours circulating on Facebook as completely unfounded. He emphasized that, “by the special grace of God,” his health is in perfect condition and there is no cause for concern.
The statement lamented what it termed the “desperate bid” by certain individuals to attract attention online through the deliberate spread of misinformation. It condemned such actions as “unthinkable” and “mischievous,” warning that those responsible would not go unpunished.

The message, dated November 14, 2025, reinforces that Chief Obiano remains hale, hearty, and appreciative of the continued support and goodwill from his family, friends, well-wishers, political associates, and loyal supporters across the world.
